About The Founder
Early in “BB’s” career, she immigrated to New York City from Chile at the age of 16 years old, where she became a model. After becoming fluent in English, “BB” traveled the world as an International TWA flight attendant. Settling in Honolulu, Hawaii, she excelled as a sales manager in the travel industry.
“BB” also produced a show BODIES IN MOTION, the first fitness show to air on ESPN, where it enjoyed an eleven-year run from 1985 to 1996. From 1996 to 2002 the show aired on Fox Sports and on The Health Network. As of 2002, the show has been airing on Discovery’s new fitness channel Fit TV. Currently, the show is the longest-running fitness show in the US. ‘Bodies in Motion’ won Cable Magazine’s ‘People’s Choice Award’ for the best health and fitness show every year the category was offered. Furthermore, BB also had a video editing company called “Adventure Studios” in Waikiki, when tourists didn’t have the advantages of new phones, cameras, and social media.
“BB” has also served many community organizations throughout Hawaii and the San Diego community, including the Hawaii International Film Festival, Heart Association, Cancer Society, Multiple Sclerosis. She founded a non-profit organization called “Image of Hawaii” dedicated to educational programs. In San Diego, she served as the Director of La Jolla Woman’s Club. Awards: In 2013, BB was a finalist for San Diego Magazine 2013 Inspirational Leader of the Year. At the 4th International Hispanic Heritage Celebration, she was awarded 2016 Member of the Year by the North County Hispanic Chamber Of Commerce.
